Words That Matter

As your Town Supervisor my word is important. My involvement and success with multiple projects in my professional life comes from involving the appropriate people for input on projects and asking detailed questions.  Unexpected expenses can and do arise but these should be relatively minor with regard to the scope of the project.
Unfortunately our current Town Supervisor doesn't appear to be concerned with the expense of a project and will provide wildly inaccurate estimates.

The town recently had a culvert fail on Tee Hill Road and the Supervisor was aware of the condition prior to the failure. At the September 9, 2024 Queensbury Town Board Meeting John Strough announced to all that the culvert will need to be replaced by a bridge and he was confident he could get this completed at $750,000.00. Grant moneys were not available because the culvert failed vs. investing in our critical infrastructures such as roads and bridges with a detailed plan for replacement.

September 9, 2024 - Supervisor Strough Stated HE would get this project done for $750,000.00 or less

March 17, 2025 - Supervisor Strough as for a resolution to be approved to complete the Tee Hill Road Project after spending over 1.9 Million.

Current - John Strough's projected $750,000.00 project  is now expected to be over 2 million dollars. He will try to convince those that the expense came as an unexpected surprise upgrading from a culvert to a bridge, but this is not what he told the public at the Queensbury Town Board Meetings.
